Art is pain, art is peace…
I am most creative when I am stressed, frightened,
hurting. Yet, I am most at peace when I am
creating.
When Covid shut the world down, I was part of that
isolation.
On a whim, I purchased a kiln and my first clump of
clay and taught myself ceramics.

I create, among other things, nests. Wasp nests. Bees’ nests. Insect nests. Nests.
Using single strands of extruded clay and porcelain, I singularly create my interpretation of
these beautiful, frightening, fragile, resilient structures—the organisms that nest on those
nests, and all nature throws at them.
